MLB-With the Rockies suddenly breathing down their neck, the Dodgers rose up and stung Colorado 6-1 on Wednesday. The win pushes the Dodgers' lead back to three games in the NL West. It's time to forgive Pete Rose for his sins against baseball. What Rose did was wrong, that we can agree on -- but it wasn't a cardinal sin.

NFL-There are many reasons the phony football of August is not worth watching. Winning or losing games in the preseason doesn't really matter. When star players have to beg for a series or two, you know something's wrong. Anyway, on to the Regular season soon and after injuries are evaluated and fianl player selection is complete we will be ready for some FOOTBALL! Bob Costas will host NBC's Sunday Night Football pregame show from the site of
the game starting this season.
