NHL PLAYOFFS - The visiting Canucks manhandled the Blackhawks in a surprisingly convincing Game 1 victory. Bruins strike first in second round vs. Flyers 5-4.

TENNIS - Rafael Nadal dropped a set for the first time on clay this year, but outdueled Ernests Gulbis to reach the final of the Rome Masters, where he'll meet David Ferrer. Henin advances to final in Stuttgart. McEnroe defeats Borg in Champions semis. Benesova beats Halep for second title. Sweeting, McHale earn French Open berths. HORSE RACING - KENTUCKY DERBY - Super Saver took control on the final stretch and bolted to a decisive victory on a sloppy track in the 136th Kentucky Derby. Victory at last-Super Saver's win ended trainer Todd Pletcher's 0-for-24 Derby drought. Derby favorite Lookin At Lucky was plagued by bad luck once again, denying Bob Baffert a fourth win.
