  1. O’Neal would have a chance at breaking the NBA’s all-time record for points scored in a career if he shot better from the free throw line. To date, he is 5,831-for-11,049 from the line. That is 52.8%. If he made even 70% of his foul shots, he would be closing in on 30,000 points for his career by now. The fact that he played fewer games per year between the 2005-2006 season and 2007-2008 season has also negatively impacted his total points scored for his career.
