NBA PLAYOFFS - Magic top Bobcats for 2-0 series lead. Jefferson, Duncan help Spurs even series. After a season of struggles, Richard Jefferson (19 points)
gave the Spurs a lift, helping even the series. San Antonio evens its first-round series with Dallas at 1 with a 102-88 victory on Wednesday night. Tim Duncan is his usual self, netting 25 points and 17 rebounds in the victory.

Ovechkin lifts Caps to 3-1 lead on Habs. Semyon Varlamov kept it close with 31 saves in the first two periods before his Caps erupted for four in the third. Down two goals after two periods, Boston turns on the motors. Miroslav Satan caps three unanswered goals 7:41 into the second overtime and the Bruins beat the Sabres 3-2 for a commanding 3-1 series lead.

NFL DRAFT - Round 1 - If the 2010 NFL offseason were given a moniker it would be called the "Year of the Trade." Never before have so many trades taken place in general, and involving big-name players in particular. From Donovan McNabb to Santonio Holmes to Brandon Marshall, the ability to trade players without any cap consequences in the uncapped year has kept the NFL hot stove cooking over the past three months. Already this week, former first round picks Byron Leftwich, Adam Carriker and Ernie Sims have been dealt. Quarterbacks available include Jason Campbell and Ben Roethlisberger.Ronnie Brown, Marshawn Lynch and Marion Barber also could move. Albert Haynesworth and Osi Umenyiora are big-name defenders on block. Ben Roethlisberger is suspended forthe first six games of the season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.
